OUR STORY

Elizabeth's Daycare and Preschool Center is a family-run business, and our care reflects that.

We began operating as a licensed home childcare operation in October 2006 in East Arlington, MA. We expanded to two other family childcare in Arlington Heights in 2016 due to our waiting list surpassing 22 families in one year.

There is undoubtedly a need for quality childcare in the Arlington area. That need is growing exponentially as our area blooms. Our hearts called us to fill that need by providing more families with our homelike care in a public daycare setting.

We want to spread our joy of nurturing to even more children in the future with childcare centers in Arlington Center and soon in the Huron Village area in Cambridge.

Elizabeth Noguera (Ms. Liz)

Founder/Co-Owner

Hola, my name is Elizabeth (Ms. Liz). I am originally from Lima, Peru and my primary language is Spanish. I am a mother of two beautiful little girls.

When I was a little girl my mother cared for children in our home. I never would have imagined that this little in-home childcare in Arlington would someday consume my world and be my lifelong passion. I have been providing the highest quality of care and learning experience for young children for more than ten years in our family child care program in East Arlington and Arlington heights. I graduated in 2017 from Urban College with with high honors A.A Early Childhood Education. In 2020 I then graduated from Eastern Nazarene with a BA in Early Childhood Education and I am currently pursuing my M.Ed. at Lesley University.

The idea for Elizabeth's Daycare and Preschool Center came from my own desire to ensure my children were exposed to Spanish at an early age in a fun and inviting way. As a working mother, I realize how difficult and important it is to find exceptional preschool for your little one. Growing up in Arlington  with Peruvian parents, I heard Spanish everywhere — at home, at school, and on the playground! In fact, I didn't realize that some Arlingtonian spoke Spanish. Arlington has become more diverse with many different cultures.

When it was time to put my own children into a preschool, I knew I wanted Spanish learning to be at the core. As a first generation household, we were all too aware that we needed additional support outside the home to ensure we remained a dual-language household. To my surprise, I found limited options available for families trying to incorporate Spanish into their children’s everyday lives. As I considered what I was looking for, I realized that I, too, was looking to find a broader community where Spanish was encouraged and celebrated regardless of skill level. It was during this search that I saw a need for quality Spanish options in early childhood education and beyond.

My mother and I began our journey by developing a unique  Spanish Immersion preschool but not only for my children, but for the many families who sought the same exceptional quality care for their little ones.

Elizabeth Yanez

Founder/Co-Owner

Hola! My name is Elizabeth Yanez. I am from Lima, Peru. I am mother of three girls.

I earned a degree in (Educacion Temprana "Inicial") Early Education from Universidad San Mertin De Porres before moving to Massachusetts. After Moving to Arlington, I became an educator and a businesswoman in 2006. Driven by my love for working with children, I graduated from UCB with an Early Childhood Education degree.

In 2010, it was my preschool daughter who inspired me to think about what had changed since I had opened my first home daycare for my oldest daughters in Arlington. Certainly, parents still wanted the best practices in curriculum, staffing and security, but I also noticed that the modern-day family was more environmentally conscious than ever before. Protecting our planet, Spanish immersion and conserving precious resources for our children’s future is a top priority for today’s parents. Thus, Elizabeth's Daycare and Preschool Center was created to support this request and what better place to start than in my second home town, deep in the heart of Arlington!

Bright Things Ahead…

I am excited to be working side by side with my oldest daughter Elizabeth Noguera. As a mother daughter duo, we are committed to taking the Elizabeth Daycare and Preschool Center families to the next generation! With my over eighteen years of experience and knowledge and my daughter’s innovative insight and energy we are dedicated to offering the ultimate quality of care to our families. We both have an enormous passion and love for children. We believe quality comes from within the community, which is why we have surrounded ourselves with a leading team of management, teachers and industry professionals. This strong foundation of individuals who support and believe in the same core values of our school are the reason why we can confidently promise to give your child care beyond imagination!

We hope you will come and see for yourself all the wonderful amenities Elizabeth Daycare and Preschool Center has to offer and join our family too!
